Discover the history of the oldest city in the West on a fully personalised tour. This experience continues by discovering its golden age, the 18th century, when the monopoly of trade with the Indies was established in Cadiz, and the merchants' houses and the Cathedral were built. On our walk, we will also observe some of the most typical elements of its streets, such as the lookout towers, and we will visit the Tavira Tower, the tallest of the more than 100 towers in the historic centre. Nowadays, the capital of C\u00e1diz is famous for its beaches, its carnival, and of course, its gastronomy, which you can enjoy on our tour in one of the most famous bars or restaurants in the city. Fishing and salt extraction have traditionally been two important economic engines of the Bay of Cadiz. During the migratory passage of birds towards the strait, we can enjoy a landscape of marshes, salt marshes and estuaries. Take a walk through the salt marshes while you discover all the details of salt extraction and its history. We will go to a despesque, a traditional fishing technique that is carried out manually with nets in the salt marshes and estuaries, where the fishermen encircle the fish and shellfish.
